Equally satisfying, if not quite so adventurous is a ride through Verde Valley aboard Arizona's longest running nature show, the Verde Canyon Railroad. This historic route from Clarkdale to the ghost ranch of Perkinsville and back is expertly narrated and a great way to see the canyon.

Not without competition, the Verde Canyon lies just a daytrip away from it's older and much larger sibling the Grand Canyon. A trip to Arizona is not complete without experiencing the power and majesty of this natural wonder.
